Humanitarian Ambassadors of America Community Development Corporation
Humanitarian Ambassadors of America Community Development Corporation (HAACDC), a 501(c)3 non-profit nonstock corporation was established in 1997 in Richmond, VA by Dr. Arlene Simmons, founder and CCO.
HAACDC's work has served to effect meaningful change within communities of the greater Richmond area, including the surrounding counties. In our work we strive to create societal breakthrough events, experiences and educational opportunities that strengthen the lives of those living through disaster, poverty, health challenges, grief, crime, and emergency circumstances, to name a few.
Communities are made stronger when the people living there are met with opportunities for growth and chances to expand their perspectives. HAACDC has answered the call on numerous occasions responding to individual and family disasters brought on by social and economic challenges.
HAACDC aspires to engage in work that paves a way to a more equitable, fair, just, inclusive and inspired world. A model where the community is the standard and people come together despite their differences is vital to enlivening neighborhoods and providing aid to those who need it most.
Some of our projects include programs in poverty stricken communities supporting needs in early education, senior life, grief work, and housing instability.
